Small Red Hot Poker

A smaller version of our popular Red Hot Poker.  Made from 7 galvanised 12 mm bars which are gently bent to give the appearance  organic movement and  topped with red, cast glass finials. This is primarily a decorative garden piece, though it can also be used as a plant support. As standard it comes with a 4 pronged base; but it can also be supplied with  flat  steel base to sit on a balcony or patio.

7  hand forged 12mm seel bars ranging in height from 210cm to 120cm. The bars are welded togeather at the base and then heated and hammered under our pneumatic forging hammer to give the look of 7 individual steams coming out of 1. A standard 4 pronged stand is welded to the base, with each prong being 30cm long;  this gives superb stability. We can add instead of the standard base, a flat plate, there is an extra cost for this; please call us for advise.
The standard finish is galvanised, which is then patinated to give a charcoal, speckled grey finish. This is further oiled to seal in this finish. (Please note the patination can vary as many factors effect the colouring process, but its always unique and beautiful) We can, on request do a rusted finish. Please contact us for further information.
Our standard fixed charge for P&P on all items is £20 (this is added on at the checkout). During busy times of the year we can have up to a 4 week lead time. If you need your produce before that please call us in advance before ordering. We would love to facilitate you and hate to disappoint. Our courier service contract is with TNT and is normally a next working day delivery service. We will contact you in advance before dispatching to arrange a good day for you to receive you goods. The glass is frost proof so needs very little care apart for cleaning, which can be done with warm soapy water. The galvanised steel will last for decades any surface scratches can be covered with a clear oil such as linseed or olive oil.

This is a short video of showing how we make the glass. Thanks to the great bunch of people in Teign valley glass in Devon where we hire out there facilities a few times a year for hot glass works.
